Being a professional dancer, I have performed for many people in many different venues, so the public display of my talents wasn’t new to me. Before I met Miss Terry, I wasn’t a public singer. I never sang in front of anyone, not even my family. I had been dancing for nine years when I finally came across Terry’s website after years of searching. I never had any lessons prior to her, so I was nervous to meet her because of her experience. Finally, when I went to meet her, she expressed a genuine interest to work with me. It was decided that I would see her once a week and within a half of year these sessions, she made my voice stronger.
I can’t lie and say that the process was easy. Being a self-critical perfectionist, I never liked the way I sounded on a recording or thought that I sang something improperly. Once, I even cried during a recording because I couldn’t get over my fears of singing a song like Beyonce’s “Halo” or “Listen.” For some reason, what I lacked in recording, I made up for in live performances. Within a year of lessons, I was able to sing “Listen” at a Black History Month showcase and earn the lead role for my high school’s musical (a performance for which earned a nomination for Best Actress in A Musical).
Within a year and a few months of Miss Terry’s lessons, I finally was able to record a song, I began to write my own music and I began to develop my own sound. In addition to the in-studio changes, I sang a Whitney Houston tribute at the same showcase and received a standing ovation. Also, I was able to obtain the lead role in the high school musical AGAIN (and I was nominated AGAIN!) At several points in the show I had to sing during and after vigorous dancing. I told Miss Terry about the part of a song where I had to sing upside down and she let me get on her back and practice the song! If that is not proof of this woman’s dedication, I don’t know what is.
Miss Terry Little can and will help you find your voice. She will help you build confidence in your abilities and humbles anyone who is arrogant.  She’s is the premier vocal coach on Long Island. There is no limit to what she can do and will have you do.
